God plays heart to get!
God Plays Heart to Get

There are moments in life when the weight of a broken heart feels almost too heavy to bear. Whether from personal loss, broken promises, or unexpected trials, heartbreak strips away our illusions of control. It leaves us searching for answers, comfort, and a way forward.
In those exact seasons, it can feel like God is distant—as if He is playing "hard to get." But the truth is far gentler: God plays "heart" to get.
He isn't pulling away to hide from us; He is inviting us into a deeper place of connection. Throughout my 25-year walk with the Lord, I’ve learned that God doesn't waste our pain. When our hearts are broken open, they become fully accessible to the One who made them. He uses those raw, vulnerable spaces to draw us closer, ministering to us in ways we might never have experienced when everything felt fine.
I was reminded of this divine positioning recently during a simple, ordinary moment—a divine appointment with a passenger in my car who was quietly listening to the book of Daniel. It was a subtle, beautiful reminder of how God constantly reaches out to meet us right where we are, setting up quiet moments of connection when we need them most.
If you are navigating a season of heartbreak right now, know this: your broken heart is not a sign that God has abandoned you. It is the very place He meets you. He is the ultimate Heart Mender, standard-bearer, and restorer. Allow Him into those fractured spaces, and watch how He crafts strength, faith, and purpose out of the pieces.
