Before you got into my vehicle today, I had already prayed for our journey. I pray that your life is filled with peace and joy and that you are operating in your God-ordained assignment. Maybe you sat quietly and comfortably, or maybe you shared something very personal about yourself with me today; trust me, it's okay. I get to hear personal stories quite often. I count it a blessing that you found me a safe space to share a piece of your heart.
Your heart is very important to God. Jesus died so that you may live with a whole heart. A whole heart is one that has accepted the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Romans 10: 9.
A Lifelong Journey of Faith & Family
My story began in a small town, where I was one of 16 children and where I first learned the beauty of family, faith, and community. At 18, I joined the military—a step that opened my world and introduced me to people of every race, culture, nationality, and background. At such a young age, my first assignment was in Keflavik, Iceland; though daunting, I was ready for the adventure.
I have experienced some of the finest things the world has to offer. Yet, even while living what appeared to be my best life, I felt a deep sense of emptiness—a missing piece that I soon realized was a missing person. It was not until I repented of my sins and surrendered my heart to the Lord Jesus Christ that my life gained true meaning. From that moment on, life meant so much more, as my focus shifted from my own desires to caring deeply for others.
Looking back over my life I can see that my life has been graced with a single, continuous thread: connecting with people from all walks of life. I realize that I have been given this market of souls to share my faith with and to glean from those of like faith.
This thread continues to this day, and this is why our paths crossed. I will never forget the Nurse Manager from up north who sent me a Christmas gift. I will never forget the young lady who I turned off my app and prayed with when she showed me the razor cuts on her arm, and I will never forget to pray for every single one of you. My one single prayer for you is that the rest of your life be the best of your life.
No matter what life brings and however hard it may get, i leave you with the words of Christ, "I pray that your faith fails not" Faith is holding fast to the best believed version of yourself until you become it.
